Winter Vashon Race sponsored by Ullman Sails Kicking off the South Sound Series

Ullman Sails is proud to announce their support of Tacoma Yacht Clubs Winter Vashon Race on December 5th 2009 in Pt. Defiance, the kick off to the South Sound Series.  This race can bring everything from beautiful weather and light wind to the near survival condition and record setting pace.

This race has a long history in Puget Sound and is the best attended race of the South Sound Series.  Tacoma Yacht Club has always been a great host to this event with a dinner the night before and great after race festivities.  This year the starting line will be run off of a committee boat rather than the club house to make a better more visible and easier to hear race committee.

Jon Thompson is the chair for this event and has gone to great lengths to improve South Sound Sailing for 2009-2010.  This year’s event has more promotion and better organization than in previous years.

Contact Tacoma Yacht Club at  http://tacomayachtclub.org to register for this event.
