Congratulations to Derek Campbell’s  Melges 32 ‘Banshee’ and Mike Schiltz’ J-105 ‘Money Shot’ for taking the top two spots in 48 North and Harken’s annual Northwest Top 25 Sailboats of 2009.

Both boats ended up tied for first after dominating performances on the race course all year. Ten major sailing events were tracked during 2009 and the Top 25 are boats that sailed in at least four of those events.  ‘Banshee’ and ‘Money Shot’ each won four events and had an equal number of class starters for an unbreakable tie. Both boats are equipped with FiberPath upwind sails and V Series downwind spinnakers.
Three other Ullman Sails powered boats placed in the Top 25 – Erik Kristen’s J-105 ‘Jubilee’ (#15), Greg Larsen’s Olson 30 ‘Lunch Box’ (#16), and Dan Randolph’s venerable Ranger 26 ‘Runner’ (#18). Congratulations to all these teams for a well sailed 2009!
