The J105’s were dominated by Doug and Pam Werner in Javelin winning 4 of 5 races and getting a second in the only race they did not win. Using an entire inventory of Ullman Sails they had good starts and sailed clean to claim the victory by 14 points over 2nd. Second in the J105 fleet was Wings followed by Current Obsession in 3rd, all 100% Ullman Sails powered boats.
The Flying Tigers celebrating their largest fleet ever assembled, sailed in the flat water of San Diego’s South Bay where the International Sportboat Anarchy Festival was held last year and will return this year. The Tigers raced all 3 days getting in 8 races total. The top 3 boats all had OCS in their final score. The top Tiger was Dangerous When Striped sailed by Chris Winnard. This team not only won every race on Saturday but lead to every mark and were almost unchallenged that day. Even with an OCS on the first day in their score they won by 3 points over Ruckus sailed by Eric Schlageter. Both of these top 2 Tigers used Ullman Sails. In fact 3 of the top 4 tiger used Ullman Sails and boats with Ullman Sails won 7 of the 8 races, the only one not won was the race that the top 3 boats were OCS.
