Whidbey Island Race Week 2010 Ullman Sails Seattle is once again is there

This year Whidbey Island Race Week will be a step up from any previous year with the addition of DWI.  No it is not Driving While Intoxicated but Dinghy Whidbey Island on the 17th and 18th of July.  This will allow the One Design dinghy sailor to get in additional racing at a great venue.  For the real serious sailor it will be a chance to get a feel for Whidbey Islands Penn Cove leading up to the event.   This event has been around for about 25 years and has brought out the best in Northwest sailors.  Whidbey Island Race Week has been the host to National and North American Championships throughout the years and has never disappointed.  The popularity of the event has brought boats from as far away as San Diego to come and compete.  At least one boat this year is coming from San Diego as well.

The after race events are of epic proportion from the volley ball tournaments to the bacon off contest.  With great memories and fun racing the event has lasted as one of the only week long regattas in the nation.

Ullman Sails is once again the exclusive sailmaker sponsor of Whidbey Island Race Week and will be on hand to make sure sailors can sail every race all week.  Ullman Sails is also helping promote the event to help Northwest sailors get the most enjoyment out of the event and have the best competition.

Whidbey Island Race Week 2010 is also a reunion for Northwest sailors from the past to get together and relive their youth and the first days of Whidbey Island Race Week.

Come up to the Great Northwest for the best event on the west coast.  More information can be found at http://www.whidbeyislandraceweek.com
