Whidbey Island Race Week Day 2:

Day Two at Whidbey

What a difference a day makes.  The Westerly breeze came in as scheduled and 3 races were sailed putting the regatta on schedule.  Some boats like Gardaloo took advantage of a right shift on the run and put big gains on their fleet in the third race making the scores very tight in their class.

All the fleets had very tight racing with several boats overlapped at the marks at all ends of the course.  Several lead changes and a few bumps like a NASCAR race the results are very close in almost all fleets with a few exceptions like “What A Trip” with his new GPL Carbon Ullman Sails that had a 1,1,2 today to take a commanding lead in class.
