Long Beach to Cabo Race 2010 This November Get ready for Margaritas!

The fall race to Cabo is coming fast.  Long Beach Yacht Clubs Bi-Annual race from Long Beach California to Cabo San Lucas Baja Mexico is scheduled for November 5th-111th 2010.  This is historically a fast race to Cabo with boats finishing from under 3 days.  This years strange southern California weather patterns can bring some surprises for the fleet.

The 2008 Long Beach to Cabo Race started in drifting conditions but that was the only light air in the entire race with winds in the mid 30’s for the first 2.5 days and 5 boats breaking the previous record.  Magnitude 80 lost it’s rig and several other boats had some damage but it was an exciting race for all involved and this year should not be any different.

If you are interested in doing this race, the entry form is here at http://www.lbyc.org .
