The Long Beach to Cabo Race hosted by Long Beach Yacht Club in Southern California had a light turn out but all the boats were in the same class and all except one were over 68 feet. The Fall Cabo race as it is dubbed has shown over the last two running that it is a fast fun race. This year was no exception.
The boats started in 10 to 12 knots of wind and never really say any less all the way to Cabo San Lucas. Two boats rated the same in PHRF and in ORR, Alchemy and Holua. Holua is a Santa Cruz 70 and Alchemy is an Andrews 70. Both boats compete on a regular basis and both boats have had great success over the last few years.
