Another great showing for Ullman Sails.  This year Ullman Sails Long Beach Race week had a great turn out of the small boats with the Viper 640’s (15 Boats) and the Open 570’s(21 boats) leading the way.  All but 2 classes were one design showing the growing trend in buoy racing. The event had a distance random leg for the big boats and 3 days of buoy racing for the rest. 
Friday was light air and then Saturday brought on more typical Long Beach conditions with 15 knots of westerly winds and back to lighter air for Sunday.  The racing was extremely close with at least three classes ending in ties.

John Laun continued his winning streak in the J-120 powered by 100% Ullman Sails winning the tie breaker over CC Rider. Nemesis the Melges 30 showed their power again winning their class by 10 points, with another all Ullman boat taking 3rd, Mile High Klub the Flying Tiger 10M.  In the J-105 fleet it came down to feet and a tie breaker to give Current Obsession 2 the edge over Airboss followed by Creative in third.  All three powered by 100% Ullman Sails. The Viper 640 fleet was dominated by Viral sailed by Tim Carter followed by Chris Winnard in Disaster Area, both boats with Ullman Sails. This is the final race of the 2011 Ullman Sails Inshore Championship Series.
