With great weather and several fleet spread over two courses the 2011 Puget Sound Sailing Championships did not disappoint anyone. This year the growing northwest Melges 24 Class had 22 boats. This drew many top sailors to compete making it an extremely competitive fleet.
The races on Saturday were started after a short delay. That would be the only delay of the day with 6 races being held and all but one of those were 2 laps or more. Each race had many lead changes. Sunday the wind held off until around noon where the race committee quickly took advantage of the nice weather and ran 2 more races.
