Half Pint of Rum Classic Boat Racing in San Diego
Chimaera

The Ancient Mariners Sailing Society had its annual Half Pint of Rum Regatta on December 10th.  This race of classic wood boats has a great history from its entry fee of a liter of rum to the le mans start.  Many great sailors have sailed this race and it is always hotly contested.  This year was no exception.

The newly restored K 50 Akamai of Chris Barclay won with John Driscoll in Chimaera in second.  Both boats competed with 100% Ullman Sails.  The cruising class also saw the Ullman Sails boat at the front with Pilot wining by over 3 minutes.
Ullman Sails has worked with many of the classic boat sailors to give them the best performance, durability and quality for the most enjoyment out of their boats.
