Whidbey Island Race Week 2015 New and improved for the entire family

In 2015, we promise you’ll recognize the great racing in Penn Cove and Saratoga Passage - that never
changes. You’ll recognize Charley Rathkopf as the Primary Race Officer and many faces on the Race
Committee - many whom have worked together for over a decade now.

You’ll recognize the friends you’ve made and the boats you’ve raced against over the years. You’ll recognize the Oak Harbor Yacht Club and, you’ll recognize the Oak Harbor Marina.

But, all the rest of it? You may not recognize it at all. But, we think you’ll be happy with the changes
Whidbey Island Race Week will also offer a Kids Camp to run adjacent to the sailboat racing Monday, July 20 to Friday, July 24, 2015 from 10 am to 6 pm. The camp will be offered to kids ages 5-12 and will be operated from the new Kids Zone area in the post-race event space at the Oak Harbor Yacht Club.

Kids Camp will include sailing instruction by certified instructors, island outings, games, crafts and other outdoor activities. The fee is $500 for the entire week and includes a Kids Camp t-shirt, plus lunch, 2 snacks and water each day. Kellee Edwards an experienced camp director and early childhood education professional, will be the Camp Director for the program.

come up and enjoy the great sailng, have your kids learn to sail and have a great time, and have a great time with great competition.  Ullman Sails will be on hand to keep you on the water the entire week.
