Non Woven Textiel - NWT

Non Woven Textiel - NWT A new durable film on FiberPath for Racers

Ullman Sails is excited for you to consider NWT (Non Woven Textile) for your next suit of membrane sails from Ullman Sails. This new product combines the lightweight performance of film sails with the added durability that taffeta has brought to the equation. Laminating a .25 mil film to our 20 g/m2 non-standard taffeta we create a membrane skin that weighs the same as 1 mil polyester film skin component, but has the increased tear strength and film support generally associated with much heavier taffeta skins.

Finally, a membrane skin that provides more durability for the racing enthusiast, without a weight penalty, and gives the cruiser racer an increase in performance without compromising durability.

NWT is available in our Smoke Grey shade for an easy on the eyes trimming experience and for a modern technical look on any yacht. Our proven adhesive is coated on the film side so you can expect the same high performance bond strength you have with our other FiberPath products.

  • 20 g/m2 non-standard taffeta + .25 mil film + adhesive = 70 g/m2 skin, same as a 1 mil film skin component.
  • Tears of 4 x 5 lbs.
  • TFT reinforced film reduces film flex fatigue and cracking
  • Phantom colored
  • This is available on all FiberPath sails.  Ask your Ullman Sails Team member about this great upgrade.
