John joined the Ullman John joined the Ullman Team in 2007 and is very active in the racer cruiser group in southern Puget Sound
Jon started sailing in 1968 when a neighbor asked to sail on a Cal 34. Since then he was hooked and began racing. Two years later in 1970 he started sailing on Thunderbirds. He owned his own Thunderbird for many years and was a 3 time Thunderbird Western Regional Champion. In 1989 Jon won the Cadranell Cup for the overall best performance at Seattle Yacht Club’s Grand Prix Regatta and in 2000 was the overall winner of Swifture.
Lately Jon has been sailing his Cal 33 which he is a 3 time overall South Sound Series winner. Jon his wife and 2 daughters take an annual cruise on the boat as well. He has been active on the Sailboat Racing Committee at Tacoma Yacht Club the last two years and join Ullman Sails Seattle in 2007.
