J 70's Fastest Sail Undefeated to date, Ullman Sails wins in the J 70's

At the end of the three race series, Ullman Sails had a 1,2,3 score line in a class of 25 other PHRF boats and was undefeated against the other J-70s with their sail makers on board. Ullman Sails managed the win with three different skippers and three different crews. Phil Toth, Dave Ullman, and Bruce Cooper took the helm and with a great mix of talented crew and fast powerful sails they were able to gap out a 19 point lead over the next J-70 that finished back in 6th place (in the fleet).

San Diego Yacht Clubs ’s Hot Rum series is a race that is incredibly hard to win .There are so many variables that determine how well your race will go, with a reverse/pursuit start, and so many obstacles to avoid such as tricky current, loads of kelp and 130+ boats rolling through the race course!

JK-3 Yachts kindly loaned 3 of their new J-70s out to the local sail lofts creating a battle of the major sail makers.

The J-70 is a great sporty boat that is hot enough for the hard core racer and fun enough for the family. Dave Ullman and Ullman Sails is looking forward to the next big event in the J-70, Key West Race Week. Team Ullman will be there in the biggest fleet of the regatta sailing a J-70…with Ullman Sails…the fastest sails on the planet,  now the fastest sails in the J-70 fleet!
